I have yet to do the required reading and work but search engine optimization is the operative phrase to put into Google to learn about how. The use of tags and Technorati is one way. It's become a sub-industry by now, and it's already infiltrated by the propaganda-meisters. as a newcomer and greenhorn it is not my position to make proposals, but I just had the idea, that everybody who likes to, can give one birthday present to the forum, maybe in a special thread, in the form of a fundamental truth, that he or she is deeply convicted of. Just as a statement, without reasoning, but with the knowledge that the respective person stands behind it.
If there are conflicting truths, so be it.

I suggest that Colby, Burton, and Lamson be hung by their thumbs

2) Some concerted effort on that day to let the rest of the world know of our existence as a resource or research tool... by the insertion of links into places...

3) Redoubled energies and brain-storming, or discussion about collaboration and focus, the future of the forum, etc.

While it may be true that no one in their right mind doubted that the Bush-Cheney administration was manipulating all those color-coded terror alerts for political purposes, former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge's confirmation of the suspicion is significant for political and legal reasons.

Ridge's upcoming book, The Test of Our Times: America Under Siege... And How We Can Be Safe Again, accuses the Bush-Cheney White House of pushing the homeland security chief to "raise the national security alert just before the 2004 election."

According to the former Pennsylvania governor's publisher, the book will reveal that Ridge was, for political reasons, "pressured to connect homeland security to the international 'war on terror.'"

The alleged manipulations of terror alerts around the time of the 2002 and 2004 elections represent the ugliest and most troubling of the alleged assaults by the Bush-Cheney administration on the democratic process and on national security. Ridge says he resisted some of the pressure, but his charges open up serious questions about the extent to which the alerts were used to warp voting and policy-making to fit the dictates of White House political czar Karl Rove's electoral strategies.

Yes, excellent point. SEO is a priority. We (and when I say "we" I mean Maggie) work on it consistently.

One way members can help with SEO is by specifying tags with posts. Another way is to use the thread links to add a thread to Technorati, Twitter, etc.
