After President Obama was informed that September 11 was not the event that was depicted, I just want to ask one other question:

Who killed John O'Neill?

And one more:

Who killed the innocent victims, the firefighters, policemen, the people dying from lung cancer because of the dust.
The american justice system will break under the load. Many people will lose all faith into what they believed. Many people will be very angry. Speechless.
Nothing will ever be the same in corporate america.

Either it will be a long way to healing or a short way to Fascism.

We all have to fight fascism and support President Obama, whether we believe he is innocent or not. There is no better man available.

Israel, Britain, Germany, France, Spain and countless other countries are also guilty, of complicity in the crimes.
The main victims are the victims of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The first victim has been the truth, as in any war.

Maybe a truth comission can help. It will be very painful.

It is a surreal situation to be waiting for something to happen and hoping that not too much will happen. Let us all be peaceful, as much as we can.

A common misconception, Carsten, for truth is ordinarily a corpse a long time before a shot is fired in earnest. No, the first fruit of war is propaganda, and the opening casualty is elementary consistency.

Nothing will happen: The US elite is above the law; and Obama is a devoted servant of that elite, not to mention its smelly, if lucrative, orthodoxies. The broad mass of the American people don't care.

Yeah, it takes some time to get a reaction.
And NO. NOBODY is above the law.
And YES, the New York Times is lying.

Get used to it.

And the fact that "there is no better man available" almost makes Obama less forgivable than his predecessor Bush, aka "no worse man available."

Bush was always scum, the idiot drunkard fortunate son of a power player, who served as the power player's proxy in the white house. If he was born to anyone else he'd be in and out of prison for DUIs and urinating in public, then ultimately die an anonymous death from chrosis of the liver and lack of health insurance.

But Obama had potential--brains and charisma and charm and the power to persuade. And he's used it in service of the shadow government. He doesn't seem tortured by it, or even conflicted. He's just smooth as silk and apparently happy as can be.

I guess he like the deal he made with the devil.

Currently I still have hope that he can overcome his chains and become a great president. None of us is without guilt. The question is, how we deal with it.

I don't care if he is black, white, brindle or pale blue. I would just like to seem him DO something. So far all I have seen is Bush III. No change, just continuity. He could:
Apologize to many starting with the American Indians.
Bring the troops home.
Close the US bases.
Regulate the banks.
Charge the criminals.
Get rid of patriot act and other such draconian legislation.
Institute real changes in environmental sustainability and do it now.
Free public health for all.
Decriminalise drugs and stop supporting narco-states.
Build Federal framework so people can create and build things that people need.
but he hasn't done anything like this. He could have started to do this anytime. It has been 10 months since the election and he should have had things ready to go. None of the above is terribly radical and is the least he can do.

I find the speeches at the UN very different from what I heard in the Bush years. From time to time I seem to hear subliminal messages in them, which do give me hope.

At least, Obama will not be able to say he did not know the truth. And if he blatantly mishandles, rapes or tortures the truth, I do have hope that the american people with some help from the outside might be able to stop him.
