I wouldn't be surprised if Mitchell considers this all a bad dream and just wants to get it behind him.
But I really would like to know if Janney deposed him or not.

So would I and others, Jim. We need to hear from Mitchell, if even a short statement. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Ready ??

OK, Jim……. ask Oliver Stone if he remembers the letter I gave the late E.G. Marshall to him concerning the late Leo Damore. Stone's assistant, Annie Tien, responded by phone to me while I was living in La Canada Flintridge, CA, and she said he was just "Kennedy'd out". This was right about the time that Bradlee's book, "A Good Life" was published (summer '95?). I sent a sampling of Damore's interviews to Benjy, hoping to assuage his concerns about what was going on at the time. Then Leo blew his brains out, in the company of a nurse and a policeman. Chew on that one. Hard to swallow ? My lawyer at the time was the late Ira Lowe, who represented me when I was being sued by Damore's progeny. It gets worse. More later.

I'm afraid so, Jim. But Mr. Scully has more than covered the 'worseness', I'm afraid. Never underestimate his '6 degrees of separation' technique. Why is it OK when others use his methodology? Am still trying to figure out my ancestry. How's yours coming along? This drama is far from over, Rover. Deep Politics, indeed. Guess I'm in the right place, huh? What say you, Mr. Doyle, uh….. ?

Two questions:
1. What Damore interviews did you send Bradlee? And why?
2. Why did Damore's family sue you?

Answer to question #1………. Leary……. Janney…….. Oppenheim……… can't remember the others………. it was more a gossipfest by Leo than anything else (i.e. "Kenny O'Donnell's GAY !!) He praised Rosenbaum, while castigating Nobile. I did not make personal copies of the tapes, nor did Bradlee hear them in their entirety.
Why ? Because he was a friend of mine…... so was Peter's mom, so was Ira Lowe……. so was Timothy Leary. Mary Draper Janney told me to burn everything. In hindsight, I should have. What Damore did to Teddy was inexcusable…… yellow journalism at its worst.
Answer to question # 2……. that's easy…… $$. But you'll have to ask Lucienne Goldberg about that. All she was interested in is if Leo made any passes at me. Just another Liz Smith/Gloria Alldead type. Vultures, the lot of them.

A gossip fest.
I think that's appropriate.
