I don't know. I think a good researcher looks at the bigger picture and says to himself that wacking a woman like Mary Meyer would be a lot easier than murdering a president. Mary Meyer's peer group was one that would not open-up to criticism or investigation of covert doings. The murderers would be a much smaller and more effective cell because the target would not take as much organizing to overcome the huge security and attention a president has around him. This is a scenario where there wouldn't be that much evidence and the exposed edges where witnesses would talk about what happened would be much more restricted to intel wolf bastards who would be unlikely to talk. Sort of like John Lennon. The Kennedy assassination was cracked because it involved too large a conspiracy that happened to border on public witnesses. Less so with people like Meyer or Lennon. Notice that both Lennon and Meyer were hit while traversing their regular egresses to their artwork that could be studied by persons targeting them.
I just don't see the break-ins as being fabricated. The only reason disinformationists would have to invent the break-ins would be to create a scenario of persecution that they would then use to float further disinformation like, possibly, the diary or the Leary sex den sessions etc. I don't see that however because there really isn't any need to draw attention to covert interest in Mary Meyer that would only draw suspicions over how she died. I believe, sex den or not, someone was worried about Mary Meyer because of her peace politics. This would perfectly match the covert interest and scope of covert alert seen in other assassination witnesses. If the persons who murdered JFK knew they murdered him partly because of his peace politics they would be worried about persons whom JFK had associated with who had the same leanings and might have heard JFK voice them. You argue against the Douglass grain Mr D. I find it very important that Mary Meyer separated from Cord Meyer because she preserved her peace leanings and he went on to become hard core CIA. The story you heard might have been Cord was spending too much time at the office - but that was probably a polite way of saying they had irreconcilable political differences based on Cord's CIA politics. Something inner-circle Mary Meyer couldn't say directly. This is very important because it would give credence to JFK's association with Meyer and CIA's possible worry over it - even without the LSD embellishment.

Well, let's inform Mitchell of it and ask for an answer. Why be shy? Seems like he could clear-up some of the Damore stuff, or, perhaps, expose himself by giving explanations that could be disproven by research.
I think Mary Meyer didn't need to read the entire Warren Report because if she had an insider's view of Kennedy's beliefs and the assassination, as well as an ear on CIA social circle scuttlebutt, she would have had a good running start that precluded the necessity of reading the entire report. The issuance of the Report could have created a timely juncture that CIA would be worried about. A sharp researcher would see that CIA acted quickly during other such junctures like Dorothy Kilgallen and Jimi Hendrix. So contrary to what you assert it very likely was the issuance of the Report itself that created the quick need to remove Mary Meyer because it might have instigated a response that would be very damaging to CIA's interests, especially with Mary Meyer's Washington/JFK credentials. Sorry, but opinions based on applied doubt and courtroom-type gotcha points are of less value than total scrutiny based on known precedent and the greater picture. I'm absolutely convinced Mary Meyer was covertly assassinated by CIA. The gravity is exactly what is all there in the right places.
