Corbett will hopefully continue the discussion with Edmonds for a few more episodes, as each instalment has been a treasure. I need to print out and re-read this entire thread, plus the initial and revised American Judas essays, and dig through the accompanying links, but there's clearly many, many dots to be joined here.

I'd imagine some of the same channels have been operating or kept in working order for decades. Why re-invent the wheel?
