Praise from a Future Generation: Another e-book
#11
Best to John Kelin and thanks for Fair Play......
Hard copy I too prefer. I must admit it can be easier to search e-books.
So I think having both versions it the right choice for me.

Old fashioned me, I would rather turn pages than stare at a Computer screen for hours.
My vision lasts longer reading paper.

Hell John your book is the TOKEN "non-lone-nutter" title in the Confuseum.
A backhanded compliment.
Other than that no comment is useful.

Now that EF died, we can expect Larry Dunkel to be present in some form or another.
Maybe just to know the state of the opposition to the Confuseum?
Was it all really just dollars Larry?Spy
Extend greetings to Bob Groden for me when you see him, OK Larry?

Jim
Read not to contradict and confute;
nor to believe and take for granted;
nor to find talk and discourse;
but to weigh and consider.

This books is sold at the Sixth Floor Museum.

How did it get by Gary Mack?

BTW, he is not a member here is he? With his PM ing newbies?

You are joking right? One of the fourm's rules is no lone nutters.

I loved Praise, could not put it down.

No because we don't have lone nutters here.

Gary Mack used to PM me sometimes at Bob Harris' forum, and he assured me he still believed there was a conspiracy. He would never post on the forum, though.

Mack has been ordered to play the cognitive dissonance game.

He "believes in" conspiracy. In so doing, he acts every day to support the LN lie.

Mack's "belief" in a JFK conspiracy -- like anyone else's -- is worthless.

Worse than worthless, "belief" in conspiracy is precisely what the conspiracy's Sponsors and Facilitators wish to promote.

"Belief."

Not certainty.

"Belief."

Just noting for anyone here who hasn't read it, John's book is truly outstanding. I bought the hardcover when it first came out and it's probably time I treated myself to a second read-through. Beautifully researched and written, and quite moving.

Hi all,

I just learned today that the e-book version of Praise from a Future Generation is now available on Amazon, for a whopping ten bucks.

It's been available for a couple of weeks. Why would the publisher bother to inform me?

Anyway, here's a link to Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Praise-Future-Gene...generation

This is the book's web site:

http://home.comcast.net/~johnkelin/praise.html

The book's site, humble as it is, looks best through Chrome or Safari. Mozilla is okay, too. IE is a mystery.

John Kelin Wrote:Praise from a Future Generation, my 2007 book about the first generation Warren critics, is due as an e-book this fall.

In all probability it will be lost in the tidal wave of assassination books flooding the market this year. Because I like a good pun, I call it a title wave. Soon to be a storm surge, I reckon.

Anyway, for the last couple of years I have spoken on and off with the publisher about this. But it looks now as if it will indeed happen. I signed off on the e-galley today.

There are a few minor additions/corrections to the text. (For reasons I didn't really understand, I was not able to do the deeper adds/cuts/corrections I wanted to do.) In the photo section I cut a few pictures because I don't want to pay the AP a second time, but was able to add a few pictures not in the hard copy, a couple of them in color. But for all intents and purposes it's the same book.

Publication date is October sometime.

Thanks for the update John. A bit odd that the publisher didn't let you know....
"The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it." Karl Marx

"He would, wouldn't he?" Mandy Rice-Davies. When asked in court whether she knew that Lord Astor had denied having sex with her.

“I think it would be a good idea” Ghandi, when asked about Western Civilisation.

I was only able to pre-order the Kindle addition - it will be auto-delivered to my Kindle app on Oct 1st. Can't wait to read it.

My apologies. My mistake. It appears the book is, in fact, not available until Oct. 1. The wording in the email I got yesterday was a little ambiguous. Made it sound like it has been on Amazon for a couple of weeks.

Oct. 1 is the release date they told me a few months ago, so I should have known better. When you hover your mouse pointer over the "kindle" option on the Amazon page, it does indeed say the title is not available until next week.

I should have checked first.
