Interesting post on George Bailey's blog Oswald's Mother, about the women in Lee Harvey Oswald's life. I had never heard of Oswald's cousin Marilyn Murret; looks like she too was a CIA operative. (maybe I should read Dick Russel's book 'The Man Who Knew Too Much', since that is the source. Seems one is never done studying the Kennedy assassination...). And shouldn't someone start a FOIA case about all those classified tax returns?

I believe the tax returns have been fought for more than once, but never obtained....and I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for them - as I believe they show FBI and/or CIA payments [possibly through cut-outs or proprietaries]. Certainly money from out of 'thin air' and not his reported 'work'. [i.e. far, FAR too explosive to be released....IMO...EVER!]

It's not just about Oswalds tax returns; Marguerite's tax returns from 1956 to 1962 are also still classified. What could be the rationale to keep them secret, if someone were to ask for them in 2014?

According to John Pic's Warren Commission testimony, Marilyn Murret, a "freelance teacher" working in Australia and Japan, visited him in Japan on the very eve of the news breaking of Oswald's defection, to tell Pic that Oswald was "travelling in Europe" with "money he saved up in the Marine Corps."
Given the fact that even Oswald's mother didn't know he was heading to Europe (and taking his savings with him), you gotta wonder, how did Cousin Marilyn Murret obtain (from a continent or two away) such timely and detailed information about Oswald's travels?
