My New Book "Hidden History"
#21
Don Jeffries Wrote:Thanks for the kind words, Magna, Albert and Peter. Peter, hopefully I do demonstrate that there has been an uninterrupted timeline of corruption, from Dealey Plaza to the latest scandals of the day. I also try to destroy this phony "Left" and "Right" paradigm which so many Americans still buy into.

Drew, I don't apologize for admiring the Kennedys, especially JFK and RFK. I think I demonstrate in the book that they were decidedly different from most establishment "liberals" of their time. Look at all the nasty quotes from "leftists" about them, from William Kunstler to Malcolm X. Can you imagine them, or any other "leftist," saying such things about FDR, or Truman, or even Clinton or Obama?

I realize mine is a minority view. And I do owe a debt of gratitude to Jim DiEugenio and his groundbreaking article "The Posthumous Death of John F. Kennedy," which first exposed the disinformation peddled by Judith Exner and the like.

I am with you Don. That article is fantastic and really debunks the Kennedy haters. The left just does not want to believe JFK and Bobby were the peacemakers they were.
So they resort to sexual gossip to attempt to trash the brothers Kennedy. Makers me sick. I was very disappointed in Sy Hersh for his Dark Side of Camelot trash book.

A couple of minor things I've noticed so far, maybe should be corrected in a second edition. That alleged quote from William Colby about the CIA owning anyone of any significance in the media - I've never seen a primary source for that. It appears to originate with David McGowan. Operation Northwoods was not a CIA plan. It was drawn up by the Pentagon/Joint Chiefs (Gen. Lyman Lemnitzer), with the idea that the CIA would play a role in it.

He wrote a 1-star review of Don's book whose sole criticism was Don told people to give a 1-star review of O'Reilly's Killing Kennedy so therefore Don was unethical and deserved to have 1-star reviews written against his book, as Paul May did. May ruined Don's 5-star rating in spite. Forget the fact that O'Reilly's disinformation work of lies deserved a 1-star review:

I asked for, and recieved, this book for Christmas.

I'll read it once I've finished the slog thru "Ultimate Sacrifice"...
"All that is necessary for tyranny to succeed is for good men to do nothing." (unknown)

James Tracy: "There is sometimes an undue amount of paranoia among some conspiracy researchers that can contribute to flawed observations and analysis."

Gary Cornwell (Dept. Chief Counsel HSCA): "A fact merely marks the point at which we have agreed to let investigation cease."

Alan Ford: "Just because you believe it, that doesn't make it so."

Ah..."Ultimate Sacrifice" is a waste of time.
I'd go with Hidden History. (Not that you asked my opinion Smile

It's utter disinfo. JFK and RFK were engaged in PEACE with Castro, not trying to kill him. This has been laid out in so many books, I think I first read the total details in Anthonry Summer's book "Conspiracy" in the mid 80's. JFK and Castro were to actually meet after "a brief trip to Dallas".

Yes The Mafia had some low level involvement but they certainly could not control the botched autopsy, or give the stand down order, or change the parade route. Etc. etc. It was not the Mafia who hired the CIA to kill Castro, but the other way around, as first revealed in the 70's under Sen. Frank Church's committee.

This book is total garbage and intentionally so.

But please allow others here to also weigh in.

Worth its weight in gold for the time saved and reduction in blood pressure.
"The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it." Karl Marx

"He would, wouldn't he?" Mandy Rice-Davies. When asked in court whether she knew that Lord Astor had denied having sex with her.

“I think it would be a good idea” Ghandi, when asked about Western Civilisation.

Great review Jim. Thanks for posting this Tracy. Not sure I ever read this before. The only thing Jim did not mention is that the co-author Thom Hartmann- was a mainstay of Air America, A CIA front exposed by CIA insider - turned- whistle blower Victor Marchetti (CIA and The Cult of Intelligence) decades ago.

Bravo Jim. I don't ALWAYS agree with your reviews but this one is spot on, and as Tracy points out,

you read them so we don't have to. Merci!!
