The first photo from inside the supermarket, taken during the siege, has been revealed showing a man, thought to be Rudy Hada, hidden in the freezer in the basement of the Hyper Cacher besides a young woman and Sarah Bitton, a 20-year-old Belgian cradling her baby.

And the photo emerged as members of France's special forces recounted the events of Friday afternoon telling how they had worked for over 50 hours straight before the raid; how Amedy Coulibaly, the jihadi gunman, attempted to barter to free the hostages; and how they eventually stormed the store and killed Coulibaly in a hail of over 40 bullets.

Coulibaly, 32, walked into the Jewish supermarket at 1pm on Friday, killing four people inside and taking a further 17 hostage. He was a close associate of the Kouachi brothers, who at that same moment were besieged in a factory in Dammartin-en-Goele, 20 miles to the north east of Vincennes.

"When that attack begun, we were suddenly not tired any more," said Jean-Pierre, one of the members of the Raid police. "It was a shot of adrenalin."

Another of the special forces officers, named as "Stan" in Le Parisien, said that as soon as they arrived at the scene, they began to assess the location.

"We moved forwards in an assault column before taking our positions close to the shop," he said. "We had made several circuits of the supermarket and got very close. We wanted to see what state the entry points were in, in order to plan our assault."
At first they wanted to take him alive. But, on observing his behaviour, they realised he wanted to die in a shoot-out with the police.
"Sincerely, one of the things that most motivated us was that video of the odious assassination of our colleague Ahmed Merabet outside Charlie," said Jean-Pierre. "We all had that image in our heads."
Stan said that they were initially told there were five hostages inside, but that figure could not be confirmed.
"We had managed to make telephone contact with one of the clients who was hiding in the cold store in the basement. They told us that there was a one-month-old baby inside that room. The baby would only have survived for two hours inside there. But we were able to cut the electricity."
It was this response which likely saved the life of Miss Bitton's baby.

[SUP]New footage from Paris attacks shows hostages released[/SUP]In the picture, Miss Bitton the daughter of a kosher butchers in Uccle, Belgium, who has lived in Paris for many years is seen looking down at her 11-month-old child, wrapped in her black puffer jacket. Mr Hada stares forlornly at the camera.

Above their heads, Coulibaly had pulled down the shutters around the shop, but the police realised it was possible to see inside. Six hostages were on the ground floor.
"Our snipers could not risk taking a shot at him, because there were advertising posters all over the windows and it was impossible to get a clean shot," said Stan.
The terrorist then told the hostage negotiator, who had managed to establish telephone communications, that he wanted to be allowed to broadcast live on a TV channel in exchange for releasing a boy of around ten years old. The authorities decided not to allow that.
Jean-Pierre said that the end of both siege situations in the Vincennes supermarket, and 45 minutes away at a print works in Dammartin-en-Goele, where the Kouachi brothers were holed up was planned to take place simultaneously, just before nightfall.
But in the end the Kouachi brothers decided to come out at around 5pm at the same time that Coulibaly was praying and so both operations begun at the same time anyway, regardless of the plan.
Two sticks of explosives had been placed on the door of the supermarket, ready for the team to blow their way in.
"The terrorist immediately opened fire on us," said Stan. "He shot at us with his Kalachnikov. Then he retreated into the shop."
Stan thought Coulibaly had gone back in to kill the hostages.
A third member of the team, "Marc", told Le Parisien that they faced a "hail of bullets" from Coulibaly.
"In front of us we had a man, ultra precise, well trained, who knew how to work his AK47," he said.
Coulibaly had placed shopping trolleys in the doorway, which impeded their entry.
"Then he threw himself at us," said Stan.
He was met with fire from the police, ending up with at least 40 bullets in his body.
"It was like a bomb had gone off in there," said Marc.
They hurried to evacuate the hostages, ushering Miss Bitton and Mr Hada out she looking overjoyed, and him giving a thumbs-up sign. She told medical staff she feared her child might have suffered from hypothermia following their ordeal, but the child was reported to be "safe and healthy", with rosy cheeks and a normal temperature of 37.
A source said: "The mother is happy and relieved. The baby did not suffer from hypothermia following his period in the cold store. Both mother and baby are doing well."
Mr Hada has now gone skiing, on a long-planned holiday. He had been in the supermarket to buy provisions for his trip.
The special forces found that Coulibaly had booby trapped the store, leaving a door packed with several kilos of explosives. They also found that he had on him a stockpile of ammunition, submachine guns and automatic weapons.
"The hostages all thanked us," said Jean-Pierre. "Some of my colleagues had tears in their eyes."
And, after a day of rest, he was back at work providing security for the massive solidarity march through Paris.
"I haven't watched the video of the assault yet," he said. "I think I might wait a bit."

He was known to have been depressive, but I assume that was in/about his own life - perhaps work. I have noted, as have others, a LOT of the details about what happened and what the police and intelligence in France MUST know at this point has NOT been made public....here apparently is another. Not a complete list at all, but a few missing pieces of the puzzle:

- is it true, as reported, that the Police had NOT visited the brother's flat 24 hours after the attack; and that neighbors had previous to the attack and found large amounts of weapons - but agreed not to tell the police under threat?

- who are the others killed? We don't have names to some.

- there is no positive identification if those gunmen killed in the firefight were the same as those named as being the gunmen; nor are even the most cursory information of how many shots killed them, etc.

- there are various rumors of these men having been under control or having some relationship with al Quaeda persons and/or Western intelligence persons - but these links are not clear and only the alternative media seems to be looking into this, to my knowledge.

- why did the Police report the missing woman in the car that shot the policewoman, and then it turns out reported she left on Jan 2 for Istanbul and then Syria?

- almost no where do I find anyone talking about France's role in Algeria. This is so very important here, along with the fact that much of the Muslim population in France is a 'forgotten, marginalized, and often outcast' group in French society.

- and more.....

Yes, agree with all the above. One of my questions is about the 3rd person identified by the French authorities who was identified as being an 18 year old homeless man with the brothers. When the man heard his name he presented to the police station with an iron clad alibi of being in school that day. Where did the authorities pick his name from? If he is attending school he is probably not homeless either. Do they just pluck these names from thin air or is it the next one off a list of patsies they have collated? Does this person actually have connections with the brothers? What is their story? And if not him who is this third person and where are they?

ln this regard, five others arrested just after the initial shootings - and suspected of 'connections' to the gunmen have all been released - so now they think there never was any connection....how could they get it all so wrong. It is almost as if the 'legends' of these men are totally false; or they are doublegangers....?!

Police Commissioner Involved in Charlie Hebdo Investigation "Commits Suicide". Total News Blackout

Police Commissioner Helric Fredou, Number Two Police Officer of the Regional Service of France's Judicial Police (JP), Limoges, (Haute-Vienne), "committed suicide on the night of Wednesday to Thursday at the police station."
Commissioner Helric Fredou was part of the police investigation into the Charlie Hebdo terror attack.
Terror suspects Cherif and Said Kouachi who were shot dead by police on January 9, spent their high-school years in the Limoges region. No doubt this was the object of Fredou's police investigation. Yet police and media reports state that on that same Wednesday he was involved in a meeting with the family of one of the Charlie Hebdo victims.
On Wednesday, as part of the Charlie Hebdo investigation, he dispatched a team of police officials under his jurisdiction. He is reported to have waited for the return of his team for a debriefing. Immediately following the police debriefing, he was involved in preparing his police report.
According to media reports, he committed suicide at around 1am on Thursday, within hours of the police debriefing. He used his own police weapon, a SIG-Sauer to "shoot himself in the head".
At the time of his death, police claim to have not known the reason for his alleged suicide. This was reflected in their official statements to the media: "It is unknown at this time the reasons for his actions".
However, a back story appears to have been inserted simultaneously, most likely from the very same police media liaisons, who then told the press that Fredou was depressed and overworked'. For any law enforcement officer in France, it would seem rather odd that anyone would want to miss the biggest single terror event of the century, or history in the making, as it were. (21st Century Wire,)
"An autopsy was performed at the University Hospital of Limoges, "confirming the suicide"
There has been a total news blackout.
The French media decided or was instructed not to cover the incident. Not news worthy? So much for "Je suis Charlie" and "Freedom of Expression" in journalism.
Likewise, the Western media including all major news services (AP, AFP, Reuters, Deutsche Welle, etc) have not covered the issue.
One isolated report in Le Parisien presents the act of suicide as being totally unrelated to the Charlie Hebdo investigation.
While described as being depressive and suffering from a burnout, police reports state that Helric Fredou's suicide was totally unexpected.
Moreover, it is worth noting that, according to reports, he committed suicide in his workplace, in his office at the police station.
Did he commit suicide? Was he incited to commit suicide?
Or was he an "honest Cop" executed on orders of France's judicial police?
Has his report been released?
These are issues for France's journalists to address. It's called investigative reporting. Or is it outright media censorship?

From Global Research

It is interesting that a virtual news blackout appears to be in force on this subject. I wonder why?

Paris attacks: France to deploy 10,000 troops

[Image: _80200234_80199829.jpg]France's interior minister has said that the country will remain on high alert in the coming weeks
France is mobilising 10,000 troops to boost security after last week's deadly attacks, and will send thousands of police to protect Jewish schools.
Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said troops would be deployed from Tuesday in the most sensitive areas.
The comments came as the French cabinet held a crisis meeting on security.
Seventeen people were killed in Paris last week in attacks at satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, on a police officer, and at a kosher supermarket.
On Sunday, an estimated 3.7 million people turned out to show solidarity with the victims, including 1.5m people in Paris.
About 40 world leaders joined the start of the Paris march, linking arms in an act of solidarity.

In Paris on Monday, President Francois Hollande held a crisis meeting with top officials.
Mr Le Drian said the deployment of troops represented the largest ever mobilisation of troops within France.
Interior Minister Bernard Cazaneuve announced that nearly 5,000 police would be sent to protect France's 717 Jewish schools, and that troops would be sent as reinforcements over the next two days.

They'll have to pull their troops from Africa and the ME. Which is probably a good thing. At least they will be inside France for a change. Now if the the US can be made to keep their troops home it will create more peace.
