As I have often said, the Warren Commission is an example in extremis of what happens to someone when the adversarial process is abandoned, and the prosecutor has no limits placed upon him by anyone, and there are absolutely no ethical or moral strictures obeyed in the effort to convict the defendant. As Chris Sharrett once said, the Nazis at Nuremburg got more of a defense than Oswald did. Which says all one needs to know about the Commission.
But even for the WC, Mexico City was really out there. I mean, as I said in the first article, the Coleman-Slawson "inquiry" was not even a cursory view of what happened. And since neither of those men were there for any length of time, nor did they view the cable traffic back and forth, they never really had the foggiest idea of what the heck was happening.
As I also noted, another thing that is surprising is that the first generation of critics actually seemed to accept the WC version of what happened. Even though there are many things in the Commission volumes which the FBI put together which raise some serious questions. It was not until Garrison that anyone really began to wonder what the heck really went on down there. And I think Garrison was the first guy to suspect an imposter.
But its pretty clear today that the WC was, as they say, cracking walnuts with their butt cheeks about Mexico City. Its really an outrage what they let the CIA get away with down there. I mean to write about the incident and to never mention the names of Anne Goodpasture, or David Phillips, to name just two, I mean that is just outrageous.
And to think, Phillips' name is not in the entire 26 volumes as far as I know. And to point out just one thing: he was running the CIA anti FPCC program along with McCord!
Every single aspect of what happened in Mexico City is suspect today. Including whether or not Oswald was there.
2:25 - 4:04 P.M. Interrogation of Oswald, Office of Capt Will Fritz
"My name is Lee Harvey Oswald. . . . I work at the Texas School Book Depository Building. . . . I lived in Minsk and in Moscow. . . . I worked in a factory. . . . I liked everything over there except the weather. . . . I have a wife and some children. . . . My residence is 1026 North Beckley, Dallas, Tex." Oswald recognized FBI agent James Hosty and said, "You have been at my home two or three times talking to my wife. I don't appreciate your coming out there when I was not there. . . . I was never in Mexico City. I have been in Tijuana. . . . Please take the handcuffs from behind me, behind my back. . . . I observed a rifle in the Texas School Book Depository where I work, on Nov. 20, 1963. . . . Mr. Roy Truly, the supervisor, displayed the rifle to individuals in his office on the first floor. . . . I never owned a rifle myself. . . . I resided in the Soviet Union for three years, where I have many friends and relatives of my wife. . . . I was secretary of the Fair Play for Cuba Committee in New Orleans a few months ago. . . . While in the Marines, I received an award for marksmanship as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps. . . . While living on Beckley Street, I used the name 0. H. Lee. . . . I was present in the Texas School Book Depository Building, I have been employed there since Oct. 15, 1963. . . . As a laborer, I have access to the entire building. . . . My usual place of work is on the first floor. However, I frequently use the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh floors to get books. I was on all floors this morning. . . . Because of all the confusion, I figured there would be no work performed that afternoon so I decided to go home. . . . I changed my clothing and went to a movie. . . . I carried a pistol with me to the movie because I felt like it, for no other reason. . . . I fought the Dallas Police who arrested me in the movie theater where I received a cut and a bump. . . . I didn't shoot Pres. John F. Kennedy or Officer J. D. Tippit. . . . An officer struck me, causing the marks on my left eye, after I had struck him. . . . I just had them in there," when asked why he had bullets in his pocket.
Oswald was placed in seat #12 by the FBI on the Del Norte Manifest shown below. We are to remember that this Del Norte 8:30am bus was chosen after the Frontera bus leaving at 2 or 2:30 was found NOT to be able to get Oswald to Laredo in time to get to Dallas in time... so the Arturo Bosch created Frontera Manifest was scrapped for ticket set #13688.
It was not scrapped due to anything but the timing didn't work... it is not until March 1964 that they switch gears and move Oswald to the Del Norte line after confirming the manifest created by Bosch below PROVED he was on that bus... complete with witnesses...
The images work much better with the text so if possible take the time and check out the entire chapter...

As pointed out earlier, the Warren Commission consider planning on subpoenaing Osborne as a witness to the alleged trip to Mexico with Lee Oswald. However, the Commission believes Osborne is "probably" a con-man, and has lied to the Commission about sitting next to Oswald on the bus trip.
We'll never know if Osborne lied or what story he gave them or what testimony Osborne submitted to the Commission, nor will we ever know what would have been said sense Osborne was not called to testify.

Whoever filled out the passenger log, was filled out by the same person, take a look at the "J" at line 13 and 17. Why can't this person get Oswald's name spelled correctly, and can't spell Lee? Take a look at the "L" on line 5 and 19, I mean, how hard is it to get Lee to look a bit more presentable? If you ask me, this name was planted in the log.

CE2195 is 50 pages on Bowen/Osborne Scott... ??
Roland Trent did a pretty decent job gettin gus the details of Bowen/Osborne.
The people who claim to have been on the same bus as an Oswald contradict themselves as to which bus, what times and where...
What I find interesting is that the WCR only uses the name OSBORNE when the only evidence available only states "Bowen"
As usual, since the evidence clears Oswald, the Commission cannot believe what he says. The two girls and the McFarland's were not even on the same bus the FBI claims in many documents he arrived in Mexico City on - Anahuac.
We are to remember that in the evidence, the FBI also puts Oswald on the Flecha Rojas bus from Monterrey to Mexico City... where the Austrialians come aboard in Monterrey while the McF's have been on the bus since Louisiana.
Except they were on Del Norte leaving at 7:30pm since the Flecha Rojas bus actually leaves at 15:30 (3:30pm) and the passenger list for those boarding in Monterrey does not list the Autralian girls...

McFarland affidavit:
Q. Did you see Oswald speaking toany other persons?
A. Yes. We observed him conversing occasionally with two young Australian women who boarded the bus on the evening of September 26th atMonterrey, Mexico. He also conversed occasionally with an elderly man who sat in the seat next tohim for a time. Miss MUMFORD.Well, we traveled by bus on a scheme which allowed us to travel on Trailwaysbuses for a period of 3 months for a certain amount. We just got on and off atvarious places we wanted to see: For instance, Washington, D.C.; Miami, wherewe stayed a week; then we went across to New Orleans, down through Texas toLaredo, and from Laredo we crossed theborder also by bus and went to Monterrey. We spent one day inMonterrey and left by bus at 7:30 p.m. at Monterrey, and it was on that busthat we met Lee Harvey Oswald. (NOTE: Let's remember what McFarland said… the Australian girls boarded the bus in the evening of Sept 26) Miss MUMFORD.Well, the ticket we had on this deal enabled us only to travel in the States, not in Mexico. So, we bought the ticketon the bus at Laredo and that enabled us to stop off in Monterrey. But the ticket was from Laredo to Mexico City. Mr. BALL. And from whatcompany did you buy the ticket? Miss MUMFORD. As far as I canremember, it was a bus company called Transporter del Norte. Mr. BALL.Now, you got on the bus at Monterreyon the evening of September 26 at 7:30p.m., you just told me? Miss MUMFORD. Yes. Mr. BALL. And what was thecompany that operated that bus, do you know? Miss MUMFORD. That was also Transporter delNorte. Miss MUMFORD.Oswald was the first one we spoke to.He left his seat and came down to the back of the bus to speak to us. Mr. BALL. That was after the bus had left Monterrey? Miss MUMFORD. Yes …. Then we arrived in the Mexico Citybus station and he didn't speak to us,attempt to speak to us at all. He was one of the first off the bus and thelast I remember seeing him he was standing across the end of the room. WCD1245p274 is the beginning of the typed version passenger list #11889 for FlechaRojas bus #516 for passengers who ONLY got on in Monterrey (i.e. Mumford andWinston). Their names, as expected, donot appear on this list. .

Wow! This is great, I love it when I read stuff like "Oswald on the Flecha Rojas bus from Monterrey to Mexico City. we traveled by bus on a scheme which allowed us to travel on Trailwaysbuses for a period of 3 months for a certain amount. We just got on and off atvarious places we wanted to see: For instance, Washington, D.C.; Miami"
If they started out in September and it took three months that would have been sometime in November when the bus settles in Miami 1962. But, Marina Oswald say Lee wasn't gone for that length of time, if Oswald was in Miami between November 1962 till January of 1963 as my father was, then my mother's story could very well hold water.
Between Miss MUMFORD and Osborne it certainly sounds as though they are contradicting each other, and may be the reason the Warren Commission decided on using Miss Mumford's testimony to established Oswald in Mexico.
But, according to Lee's Christmas postcard to his brother Robert proves that Lee could not have been in Mexico by the date stamped on that postcard, so how could Lee be in two places at the same time?
It's either Transporter del Norte or the Flecha Rojas bus, but not both. Sounds to me after viewing the log, as if some other author plugged Oswald's name in it because the rest of the writing in that log matches the same author.
Makes me wounder if the Commission should have even used Miss Mumford's testimony. The Commission discovered that Osborne was a persist believing that his testimony may hold water, however, as soon as Osborne said he did not sit next to Oswald, the Commission discredited him. And, how would Osborne or Miss Mumford know who Oswald was unless someone from the Commission showed them a photo of Oswald which meant that a photo showed to Osborne didn't look like the Oswald we know as the alleged assassin, so, could there have been a double Oswald look a like, the answer is yes, and this is where Miss Mumford may get confused.
