McCoy's book is to my mind the classic on the narcotics industry. He later changed the title to read "The Politics of Heroin - CIA Complicity in the Global Drug Trade".
Good find Jan. The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort.
