"A Certain Arrogance" -- George Michael Evica's Last Book to be Updated, Published Soon
#1
I am both pleased and truly humbled to report that TrineDay will publish an updated version of George Michael Evica's final and greatest work, A Certain Arrogance: U.S. Intelligence's Manipulation of Religious Groups and Individuals in Two World Wars and the Cold War -- and the Sacrificing of Lee Harvey Oswald.

The cover art is done and a dedicated webpage for ACA is up and running:

http://www.trineday.com/proofs/arrogance1.html

Look for ACA in early to mid-2010. The horrible layout errors of the initial self-publishing have been eliminated, and I've updated my Introduction significantly.

In addition, please spend some time reviewing TrineDay's current catalog. You will be enriched by the exercise.

Charles

Thank you, Jack.

I hope you know how much George Michael respects (that's right, I use the present tense; he is) your work and how fond he is of you.

Charles, will A Certain Arrogance have more info, that was not in the first book? I did like the book and actually read it twice...or maybe it was even three times. It had info of interest to me. The only problem I had with it, was that the pages were not glued in very well and as I turned each page, it fell out. So, now it is all a loose leaf book. I have to pick up a page and read it and lay it down.

Hi Dixie,

The text will NOT include new information.

In terms of production, all problems will be resolved. From a selfish perspective, the butchery committed on my Introduction by the original typesetters will be eliminated.

However, I can't in good conscience suggest that the expanded Intro alone will be worth the purchase price of a second copy.

Although I have solved the case ...

Best,

Charles

I only pray to god that someone will get out there and promote this book!!!

Pocantico prays daily that the mighty Drago stays off high traffic sites.

1) only thus will fewer people discover this great forum
2) only thus will FAR FAR FAR FEWER people ever read Evica's great book

Folks continue to VASTLY UNDERESTIMATE THE DEGREE OF GENERAL INTEREST IN THE KENNEDY ASSASSINATION. I have had threads get upwards of 15,000 views. Last Sunday I took six hours and posted a clip of Family of Secrets around on the friends with a lot of friends pages of FB and a few newspaper sites about Russ Bakers book .. ... The book went from 40,OOO to as low as 1,300 this week after that, and has hovered btw 2,000 and 5,000 for a solid week.

I have been posting all over for more than a solid year about JFK and the Unspeakable I HAVE NOW ALMOST COMPLETELY STOPPED POSTING AND ITS HOLDING BETWEEN 1-3,OOO ON ITS OWN FOR A SOLID MONTH and is set for going permanent inside the 800 mark in about a month i would guess. Yes I know there was the Stone promo on Maher but other books have dropped far sooner. Look at the Morley book , It got a fat mention in the NYT the other day but has already dropped down bellow 50,000 BECAUSE THERE IS NO INTERNET CAMPAIGN BEHIND IT.

If we really want to solve the case, we have to promote good books. KNOWING is not enough if not enough people are SPREADING. Evica's book is amazing and could easily stay in top 1,OOO if a few people wanted to do a bit of coppying and pasting.

Nathaniel,

Thank you so much for your interest in A Certain Arrogance.

Republication is set for early or mid-2010. In advance of the launch I'll be in touch to seek your counsel on a public relations effort to promote the book.

And of course I'll get a complimentary copy of the reprint to you just as soon as they're available.

Best,

Charlie

Charlie, I'm very pleased to hear your project with Kris has had such positive results. Well done.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.

David,

It would not have happened without your generous introduction and endorsement. Alycia Evica is aware of this kindness, and we are in your debt.
