Skyhorse is bringing out the revised and expanded version of Destiny Betrayed this fall.
When I say revised and expanded, I mean its almost a total rewrite. I would say that when all is said and done, it maintains about 10 % of the original. In reality, its a different book.
One of the things I am most proud of is the work I have done on the White Russian community in Dallas, and Ruth and Michael Paine. I can say confidently, that no author has ever gone as far as I have between the covers of one book on this topic.
Anyway, you can order it at the above, or more cheaply on Amazon. I can promise you will like it.
And don't forget Amazon's horrible stand on free speech: " WikiLeaks the organization behind one of the largest diplomatic data dumps in history was ejected from Amazon cloud-based servers, apparently under pressure from US politicians. According to CNN, Amazon was contacted this week by several US senators, including Joe Lieberman, who urged the company to immediately terminate its relationship with WikiLeaks."
"Let me issue and control a nation's money and I care not who writes the laws. - Mayer Rothschild
"Civil disobedience is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience! People are obedient in the face of poverty, starvation, stupidity, war, and cruelty. Our problem is that grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem!" - Howard Zinn
"If there is no struggle there is no progress. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and never will" - Frederick Douglass
Always best to support small businesses and publishers over conglomerates and TNC's. It is always dollars well spent. Amazon just cares about Amazon not writers, or customers, or community.
"The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it." Karl Marx
"He would, wouldn't he?" Mandy Rice-Davies. When asked in court whether she knew that Lord Astor had denied having sex with her.
“I think it would be a good idea” Ghandi, when asked about Western Civilisation.
Really looking forward to this. The glimpse of the Garrison investigation attacked by the FBI and CIA in The Assassinations was clarifying as an electric shock. To augment that with a view to the Paines and DeMohrenschildt's circle will be epic.
The ten-part Bugliosi chloroform and mounting-board operation is hopefully in the stars as well.
And my third wish is for a visceral Tippit tome to rip the face off the beast.
Your view is the Hubble to the Sixth Floor Confusatory's jackboot grinding Burgess Meredith's eyeglasses in Twilight Zone's Time Enough at Last.
Here's another reason not to order through Amazon:
Excerpt:
Quote:Workers said they were forced to endure brutal heat inside the sprawling warehouse and were pushed to work at a pace many could not sustain. Employees were frequently reprimanded regarding their productivity and threatened with termination, workers said. The consequences of not meeting work expectations were regularly on display, as employees lost their jobs and got escorted out of the warehouse. Such sights encouraged some workers to conceal pain and push through injury lest they get fired as well, workers said.
During summer heat waves, Amazon arranged to have paramedics parked in ambulances outside, ready to treat any workers who dehydrated or suffered other forms of heat stress. Those who couldn't quickly cool off and return to work were sent home or taken out in stretchers and wheelchairs and transported to area hospitals. And new applicants were ready to begin work at any time.
You can get great deals on used books on Amazon. I've gotten books in very good condition for a dollar or two that are sold directly by the independent book shop listed on Amazon without any Amazon cut.

Albert, there is definately an Amazon cut. I forget their percentage. --L
