So with Tracy and me and Don, that makes three of us.
Albert, that most definitely was an obstruction of justice.
But the media had done such a good job of making Garrison radioactive that the public was not aware of it. Also, and I left this out of my book, the FBi went to the UPI dispatch desk and told the guy not to carry any more of Garrison's press releases. So his side was strangled.
Of course, Ramsey Clark was part of the cover up at the time. I think the guy turned around in life later to do penance for his part in the cover ups of King and JFK.
No one will ever know what JG would have achieved if he had not been interfered with. But we do have what the CIA thought. At the first meeting of the Garrison Group, Rocca said that if JG was allowed to proceed, Garrison would convict Shaw.
BTW, what McAdams does with these memos is a disgrace. He says Helms was not at the meetings. Well, no, but he ordered them. And he sent his first assistant, Thomas K to attend for him. Think he was interested? I do.
