Hillary Clinton: Wall Street's Losing Horse? Constitutional Crisis? What's the End Game?

By Prof Michel Chossudovsky

Since the release of FBI Director Comey's Second letter to the US Congress, the presidential elections process has gone haywire, out of control. The bipartisan political apparatus is in crisis.

"I FBI director [James Comey] am writing to inform you that the investigative team briefed me on this yesterday, and I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation."

Quote:Two important questions:

WHO IS BEHIND WIKILEAKS WHICH RELEASED THE EMAILS?

WHO IS BEHIND FBI DIRECTOR JAMES COMEY?

In both cases, we are dealing with powerful interest groups. CUI-BONO?

Has there been a shift in the Corporate Elite's unbending support for Hillary Clinton? Or are the Elites divided? This is something to be carefully investigated.

FBI Director Comey (image right) did not take this decision on his own. While he was described as responding to pressures from within the FBI, the crucial question is: Who are the power brokers behind James Comey? What mechanism incited him to take that decision?

Does he have a relationship with Trump? Several media have even intimated that Moscow could have been behind Comey's second letter. An absurd proposition.

The Trigger Mechanism

The trigger mechanism which incited the FBI Director to send a Second Letter to Congress was a report by the Wall Street Journal published four days prior to the sending of his letter to Congress (October 28).

On October 24, the WSJ revealed that "Clinton friend [Virginia Governor] Terry McAuliffe donated money to an FBI investigator's wife when she ran for office" .

Terry McAuliffe handed the money on behalf of Hillary Clinton:

"Last night's revelation that close Clinton ally Terry McAuliffe authorized $675,000 to the wife of a top official at the FBI, who conveniently was promoted to deputy director, and helped oversee the investigation into Clinton's secret server is deeply disturbing…

The fact that this was allowed to occur shows either outright negligent behavior by the FBI or a level of corruption that is beyond belief. The FBI needs to fully address these issues as soon as possible,The Wall Street Journal broke the story on Sunday. The FBI has been under fire for not recommending indictment against Hillary Clinton."(Breibart October 24, 2016)

Comey's decision to send a second letter on October 28 (October Surprise) was triggered by the contents of the WSJ report, pointing to bribery by Clinton and corruption within the FBI.

The donation went to the 2015 Virginia state Senate election campaign of Dr. Jill McCabe, who just so happens to be the wife of FBI official Andrew McCabe who a few months later in January 2016 was appointed deputy director of the FBI in charge of the Clinton Email investigation. How convenient (See WSJ, October 24, 2016).

The Hillary donation received by Dr. Jill McCabe was not reported. According to official records she received a total of $256,000 dollars in campaign contributions.

Andrew McCabe was Hillary's Trojan Horse within the FBI.

Upon the release of the WSJ report, FBI Director Comey, responding to internal pressure from within the FBI, with a view to protecting his integrity, decided to release a second letter regarding the Clinton Emails.

His corrupt deputy director Andrew McCabe (image left) who was overseeing the Clinton investigation, sofar has not been fired.

"House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), who told The Washington Post this week that Hillary Clinton would face "years" of potential probes if she won the presidency, has asked FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe to provide documents about his wife's 2015 campaign for Senate a campaign that received financial support from Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D), a close Clinton ally. Chaffetz also tweeted Friday that the FBI would examine new emails related to the investigation into Clinton's use of a private server.(Washington Post, October 28, 2016)

The trigger mechanism did not originate from FBI Director James Comey's letter per se. It was the Wall Street Journal, mouthpiece of the US financial establishment, which revealed the fraud and bribery scheme: The wife of the Number Two Man at the FBI Andrew McCabe had received a large sum of money from Hillary Clinton, via the Governor of Virginia.

The timing of this decision less than two weeks before the elections was crucial. But it was ultimately the WSJ (and those behind the release of the report on the Clinton-McCabe fraud) who determined the course of events.

Who on Wall Street was behind the WSJ report on the Clinton-FBI McCabe "bribe", which served to trigger James Comey's letter?

The WSJ is owned by the News Corp conglomerate, one of the most powerful global media groups owned by the Murdoch Family Trust.

Rupert Murdoch is a firm supporter of Donald Trump. Murdoch and Trump met several times in course of last months:

The Murdoch-Trump alliance is the result of at least two private meetings between the billionaires this spring as well as phone calls from Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Murdoch's view, according to those who've spoken with him, is that Trump is a winner whom the "elites" failed to take seriously. … In March, Murdoch tweeted that the GOP would "be mad not to unify" behind Trump. (Fox News)

Until recently, the US mainstream media have largely been involved in camouflaging the crimes committed by Hillary Clinton. Are we dealing with an About Turn?

The corporate elites are not monolithic. Quite the opposite. Tthere are major divisions and conflicts within the ruling corporate establishment. What seems to be unfolding is a division between competing media conglomerates, with Murdoch's News Corp Group (which includes the WSJ and Fox News) supporting Trump and the Time Warner -CNN Group supporting Clinton.

Those who triggered the release of the WSJ report were fully aware that this would lead to a response by FBI Director James Comey, which in turn would contribute to weakening and undermining Hillary Clinton.

According to Donald Trump, This "Is Bigger than Watergate".

The Clinton Campaign has responded by accusing FBI Director James Casey of breaking the law.

In many regards, the contents of the Huma Abedin Emails (released by the FBI) which have been the object of extensive media coverage is a red herring. But there is more than meets the eye. The Second letter pertaining to the Emails opens up a "Pandora's box" of fraud, corruption, bribery and money laundering.

So far the media has concentrated on trivialities with a view to exonerating Clinton. The incriminating evidence of criminality contained in the WSJ report (i.e Clinton money paid to the wife of the Number 2 official in the FBI) is not a media talking point, nor is the fraud underlying the Clinton Foundation's money transactions.

The second letter by FBI Director Comey came as a Bombshell. Comey's initiative points this time to the possibility that a candidate to the presidency of the United States be under criminal investigation by the FBI.

This does not solely pertain to the Email scandal, the FBI "has an open investigation into the Clinton Foundation", which constitutes a hotbed of fraud and money laundering. Moreover, a class action lawsuit was launched against the Democratic National Committee (DNC) "alleging fraud and collusion with the Hillary Clinton campaign".

Act of Treason: Hillary Received Donations from the "State Sponsors of Terrorism" Who are Funding the Islamic State (ISIS-Daesh)

It is worth noting that while Clinton has acknowledged that Saudi Arabia and Qatar are providing money and support to ISIS-Daesh and other terrorists groups in Syria and Iraq, in an email, sent to John Podesta in 2014, "she conveniently fails to mention that these two terror-funding states are both mega-donors to the Clinton Foundation. Qatar has given between $1 million and $5 million to the Clinton Foundation and Saudi Arabia has donated upwards of $25 million dollars to the Foundation." (See Baxter Dmitry, The Terrorists R Us, Global Research, October 29, 2016)

Saudi Arabia Qatar isis

A former Secretary of State (through here family's Foundation) receives generous donations from the "State sponsors of terrorism" (Saudi Arabia and Qatar): This is an obvious act of treason by a senior US official and candidate to the presidency of the United States.

Moreover, according to Frank Huguenard (Global Research, May 30, 2016), the initial FBI investigation "has expanded well beyond violating State Department regulations to include questions about espionage, perjury and influence peddling". The Clinton Foundation as a crony money laundering entity is at the center of the FBI initiative, which could lead to a conviction under RICO racketeering charges:

Here's what we do know. Tens of millions of dollars donated to the Clinton Foundation was funneled to the organization through a Canadian shell company which has made tracing the donors nearly impossible. Less than 10% of donations to the Foundation has actually been released to charitable organizations and $2M that has been traced back to long time Bill Clinton friend Julie McMahon (aka The Energizer). When the official investigation into Hillary's email server began, she instructed her IT professional to delete over 30,000 emails and cloud backups of her emails older than 30 days at both Platte River Networks and Datto, Inc. The FBI has subsequently recovered the majority, if not all, of Hillary's deleted emails and are putting together a strong case against her for attempting to cover up her illegal and illicit activities.

A conviction under RICO comes when the Department of Justice proves that the defendant has engaged in two or more examples of racketeering and that the defendant maintained an interest in, participated in or invested in a criminal enterprise affecting interstate or foreign commerce. There is ample evidence already in the public record that the Clinton Foundation qualifies as a criminal enterprise and there's no doubt that the FBI is privy to significantly more evidence than has already been made public.

Under RICO, the sections most relevant in this case will be section 1503 (obstruction of justice), section 1510 (obstruction of criminal investigations) and section 1511 (obstruction of State or local law enforcement).

As in the case with Richard Nixon after the Watergate Break-in, it's the cover-up of a crime that will be the Clintons' downfall. Furthermore, under provisions of title 18, United States Code: Section 201, the Clinton Foundation can be held accountable for improprieties relating to bribery. The FBI will be able to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that through the Clinton Foundation, international entities were able to commit bribery in exchange for help in securing business deals, such as the uranium-mining deal in Kazakhstan. (Frank Huguenard, Global Research, May 30, 2016),

Opposition to Hillary Clinton from within the Armed Forces

There is also evidence of resentment to Clinton from within the Armed Forces. The Joint Chiefs of Staff have expressed their opposition to the adoption of a "No Fly Zone" in Syria, which could lead to a war with Russia. Both the "No Fly Zone" as well as Hillary's nuclear option "on the table" are the object of debate by America's top brass. Referring to the use of nuclear weapons against Iran, Hillary said "we will obliterate them".

If Hillary is elected, inevitably Trump would launch one or more procedures pertaining to fraud at different stages of the election campaign, voting machines, etc. In the words of Donald Trump at a rally in New Hampshire:

"Hillary Clinton's corruption is on a scale we've never seen before,… We must not let her take her criminal scheme into the Oval Office."

If elected president, Hillary's criminal record would haunt her throughout her term in office, leading to the possibility of an impeachment. The presidency would become totally dysfunctional from the very outset, which her corporate sponsors including the defense contractors and Wall Street would prefer to avoid.

National Emergency Measures, Martial Law?

Unquestionably the entire US bipartisan political apparatus is in crisis including US foreign policy, marked by the breakdown of diplomacy, America's military agenda and the unfolding confrontation with Russia.

While it is difficult to predict what might occur in the wake of the November 8 elections, the unfolding political impasse coupled with rising geopolitical tensions in Syria, Iraq as well as Eastern Europe on Russia's border could potentially lead at some future date to the suspension of Constitutional government under the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) HR 1540, signed into law by president Obama on December 31, 2011. Most media have failed to analyze the far-reaching implications of this legislation.

The present impasse in the electoral process is a crisis of legitimacy characterized by the criminalization of the US State, its judicial and law enforcement apparatus. In turn, Washington is committed to a hegemonic US-NATO "war without border" coupled with the formation of giant trading blocks under the TPP and TTIP proposals. This neoliberal macro-economic agenda has since the early 1980s been conducive to the impoverishment of large sectors of the World population.

These developments coupled with a potenital constitutional deadlock point in the direction of rising political and social tensions as well as mass protests throughout the US which could lead America at some future date into the application of "martial law".

There are multiple US "martial law" legislative procedures. The adoption of the "National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), HR 1540) would be tantamount to a repeal of civil liberties, the surveillance state, the militarization of law enforcement, the repeal of the Posse Comitatus Act.

All the components of Police State USA are currently in place. They go far beyond government snooping of emails and telephone conversations. They also include:

 1. Extrajudicial assassinations of alleged terrorists including US citizens, in blatant violation of the Fifth amendment "No person shall. .. be deprived of life. .. without due process of law."
 2. The indefinite detention of US citizens without trial, namely the repeal of Habeas Corpus.
 3. The establishment of "Internment Camps" on US Military Bases under legislation adopted in 2009 .

Under the National Emergency Centers Establishment Act (HR 645) the "Internment Camps" can be used to "meet other appropriate needs, as determined by the Secretary of Homeland Security."

The FEMA internment camps are part of the Continuity of Government (C.O.G), which would be put in place in the case of martial law. The internment camps are intended to "protect the government" against its citizens, by locking up protesters as well as political activists who might challenge the legitimacy of the Administration's national security, economic or military agenda.

The Hillary Clinton Takeover of the United States

Published on Nov 1, 2016
Hillary and Bill Clinton are attempting a takeover of the United States and will stop at nothing. A coup d'état of this magnitude has never been affected in such a subtly calculated way.

That's got to be one of the dumbest videos I've seen all year. He's still using the Chai Tea footage of her acting goofy with reporters. How would any of us like a bad photograph or a film of us acting silly to be used to diagnose a medical condition? It's like something out of a Terry Gilliam film.

The FBI and U.S. intelligence agencies are examining faked documents aimed at discrediting the Hillary Clinton campaign as part of a broader investigation into what U.S. officials believe has been an attempt by Russia to disrupt the presidential election, people with knowledge of the matter said.
U.S. Senator Tom Carper, a Democrat on the Senate Homeland Security Committee, has referred one of the documents to the FBI for investigation on the grounds that his name and stationery were forged to appear authentic, some of the sources who had knowledge of that discussion said.
In the letter identified as fake, Carper is quoted as writing to Clinton, "We will not let you lose this election," a person who saw the document told Reuters.
The fake Carper letter, which was described to Reuters, is one of several documents presented to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Department of Justice for review in recent weeks, the sources said.
A spokeswoman for Carper declined to comment.
As part of an investigation into suspected Russian hacking, FBI investigators have also asked Democratic Party officials to provide copies of other suspected faked documents that have been circulating along with emails and other legitimate documents taken in the hack, people involved in those conversations said.
A spokesman for the FBI confirmed the agency was "in receipt of a complaint about an alleged fake letter" related to the election but declined further comment. Others with knowledge of the matter said the FBI was also examining other fake documents that recently surfaced.
U.S. intelligence officials have warned privately that a campaign they believe is backed by the Russian government to undermine the credibility of the U.S. presidential election could move beyond the hacking of Democratic Party email systems. That could include posting fictional evidence of voter fraud or other disinformation in the run-up to voting on Nov. 8, U.S. officials have said.
Russian officials deny any such effort.
In addition to the Carper letter, the FBI has also reviewed a seven-page electronic document that carries the logos of Democratic pollster Joel Benenson's firm, the Benenson Strategy Group, and the Clinton Foundation, a person with knowledge of the matter said.
The document, identified as a fake by the Clinton campaign, claims poll ratings had plunged for Clinton and called for "severe strategy changes for November" that could include "staged civil unrest" and "radiological attack" with dirty bombs to disrupt the vote.
Like the Carper letter, it was not immediately clear where the fraudulent document had originated or how it had begun to circulate.
On Oct. 20, Roger Stone, a former Trump aide and Republican operative, linked to a copy of the document on Twitter with the tag, "If this is real: OMG!!"
Benenson's firm had no immediate comment. Craig Minassian, a spokesman for the Clinton Foundation, said the document was "fake." He said he did not know if the FBI had examined it.
ALSO IN POLITICS

Stone did not respond to emails requesting comment.
A spokesman for the Clinton campaign, Glen Caplin, said the document was a fake and part of a "desperate stunt" to capitalize on the leak of Democratic emails by Wikileaks.
The developments highlight the unusually prominent role U.S. law enforcement and intelligence agencies have played in a contentious election and an ongoing debate about how public they can or should be about their inquiries.
FBI Director James Comey, a Republican appointed by President Obama, touched off an outcry from Democrats last week when he alerted Congress that agents had found other emails that could be linked to an inquiry into Clinton's use of a private email server when she was Secretary of State, effectively re-opening an investigation he had closed in July.

A neuroscientist explains why Trump's obsession with revenge would make him a dangerous president

Bobby Azarian, Raw Story
03 Nov 2016 at 14:17 ET

While he's dropped clues throughout his entire presidential campaign, the full extent of Donald Trump's vindictive nature has only been revealed recently. Not only does his obsession with revenge provide more evidence for the widely held belief that he is a narcissist, it further suggests that Trump has a psychological profile that could make him a very dangerous world leader. In fact, research has shown that people who score high on measures of vengeancethe intense desire to inflict harm on another person in order to get even' after a perceived injury or insulttypically lack empathy, possess uncontrollable anger, and are emotionally unstable.

To describe Trump as a man who holds grudges would be a vast understatement. Last month in a blog post, the British billionaire and founder of the Virgin group, Richard Branson, briefly described his first encounter with Donald, something he called extraordinarily bizarre. At a one-on-one business lunch that occurred sometime in the distant past, rather than discussing entrepreneurship or ways to help the world, Trump spent the entire time explaining how he intended to dedicate the rest of his life to ruining the lives of five people who refused to help him after his company filed for bankruptcy.

Also last month, during a public appearance, Trump vowed to sue all 12 women who have recently accused him of sexual misconduct as soon as the election is overwhich might seem not so unreasonable had he not explicitly bragged about such behavior in 2005. But Trump didn't stop there. He threatened to sue The New York Times for publishing the women's stories, and if his lawsuit history tells us anything, it's that these are unlikely to be just empty promises. And these examples are just the tip of the iceberg.

USA Today found that Trump has been involved in over 3,500 legal actions in the last 30 years, many of which were cases filed by him. As reported by The Atlantic in the article, "The Lawsuits of Donald Trump," over the last decade the billionaire has sued "a book author, a MISS USA contestant, a comedian, and global financial institutions." That comedian was actually HBO talk show host Bill Maher, who promised to give Trump $5 million if he could provide proof that his father was not an orangutan. Luckily for Maher, the case was ultimately dismissed. Regardless, if you think that Donald's vindictiveness is superficial, with lawsuit threats being simply how he lets off steam,' his track record clearly shows otherwise.

Given the anecdotal and objective evidence, there's just no doubt that Donald is an extremely vengeful person, and it is unlikely that even the most loyal Trump supporter would deny that. In fact, given the intense hatred toward the Obama administration and the U.S. government felt by your average Trump enthusiast, Donald's ambition to tear down the establishment that has continuously mocked him is likely a main reason why they love him.

Psychology research shows that vindictiveness is strongly correlated with narcissism, a personality trait that countless psychologists say Trump shows all the signs of having. Studies have also found that those who seek revenge are often very energetic and have dominant personalities. Further, vengeful people often seek powerful positions that allow them to inflict what they see as well-deserved hurt on their enemies. That pretty much describes Trump to a T.

What might be the most troubling aspect of a vindictive president is the severe lack of empathy. Since empathy is the ability to see events from another's perspective, and to share their experiences and emotions, it is an essential feature for a president who cares about the people, as the overwhelming majority of them do not live a life anything like his. Minorities, as well as the poor, elderly, and disabled, would all be negatively affected by an unempathetic leader. To make matters worse, vengefulness is strongly associated with anger and aggression, which can go unchecked with empathy deficits, resulting infor examplebrutal military decisions made with no regard for civilian lives abroad.
Another serious drawback of a vengeful president is that they would spend so much time and effort getting even that they would not have time to actually do the jobs that presidents must do. Under a Trump presidency, many important dutieslike working with Congress on the budget and running the armed forceswould either be neglected or allocated to others while he plots and executes his revenge.

We can be sure that if Donald Trump becomes president, he will be dedicating a substantial amount of time to figuring out some sort of way to punish the media, which he feels has treated him very unfairly during the election cycle. In an episode of The Daily Show that aired last week, Dana Bash, a journalist and CNN reporter, described to Trevor Noah the chilling way Trump already directs anger and aggression toward the media at his rallies:

"There is nothing as jarring as being in the penbecause the press has to be in a pen at these rallies, for security and for other reasonsand there are thousands of people between you and the candidate. And it's a huge crowd. So Donald Trump will say, "Look at those people, they are horrible. They are scumbags. They are the worst people. They're so dishonest." And all of a sudden, in unison, every single one of the people will turn around and stare at us, and it's very creepy and scaryit really is."
What's even scarier is imagining what orders he'd give people and how strongly they'd respond if he were actually President of the United States. And how could citizens be arrested and held in jail for following the president's orders?

We can also bet that Trump would immediately devote much of his limited resources into destroying every bit of Obama's legacy, regardless of whether or not it would hurt the country. It would serve as payback for the 2011 White House Correspondents' Dinner, where Barack Obama roasted Trump with clever zinger after zinger. Although the jokes were light-hearted and typical of the event, Trump's largely stone-faced reaction showed that he likely felt humiliated, and there's absolutely nothing that infuriates The Donald more than that. Even if Trump knew for sure that fixing Obamacare would be easier and less costly than starting from scratch, he would still tear it down just out of spite. He's already promised to do this. A leader that operates like that is dangerous for the country because they are more concerned with revenge than the welfare of citizens.

While it might seem obvious that as president Trump would put effort into getting back at the Clintons and other Democrats, it is more likely that he will have his vengeful eyes directed at his own party. With the Clintons defeated, he'd be more motivated to focus on settling old scores with Republicans like Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, who went against tradition by refusing to show support or enthusiasm for the party's nominee. This greatly embarrassed and upset Trump, who has been attacking Ryan ever since. Ryan is just one of many "establishment Republicans" who expressed disapproval of Trump and are likely to now be on his disloyal list. Because that list is one that Donald takes very seriously, many Republican politicians have as much reason to fear a Trump presidency as Democrats do. This time around they would be wise to vote blue, as their careers and future may depend on it.

But a vindictive president is the biggest liability when it comes to the world stage. It is here where a vengeful Trump has the potential to do the most damage. It is a fact that the U.S. is despised by a number of nations with formidable military force, and that is not going to change no matter who is elected president this November. If it is Trump, it is only a matter of time before the brash billionaire feels he has been deeply insulted or disrespected by another world leader. And since research shows that vengeful responses are generally greater in force than their provocation, we could easily find ourselves in a quickly escalating conflict with North Korea, Iran, China, or Russia. Sure, there may be a budding bromance between Vladimir Putin and Donald right now, but just like Trump's friendship with Ted Cruz, a falling out is inevitable. And when that occurs, we can again expect it to get really ugly really quick.

Trump expects flattery, and that's something he's just not going to get a lot of as President of the United States. As a result, many of his actions and decisions will be driven by aggression and vengeance, which have the power to override logic and reason. Will he try to order the people to stand up and cause chaos if Congress or the Supreme Court makes a decision he doesn't like? Would he get us unengaged in a nuclear war if he's mocked and ridiculed by a foreign nation? We should all hope that these are questions that we'll never know the answers to.
