It smells of disinformation planted to discredit/distract folks with more serious airplane/airport/jfk events to report.

I don't have google earth or whatever. I'll be happy to check my atlas distances and get back to you.

OK, so far this is all you have -- your suspicions of a late disclosure. Fair enough. But your stuff about timing has been fairly well refuted here on this thread. You'll have to find something better to support your suspicions. So far, you got nuttin'. He might well be telling tall tales. But even if he is, it doesn't change a thing about Why JFK Died, and Why It Matters.

From my POV, I have trouble with the improvisational nature of the whole thing. But I state that without cooking up a bunch of half baked crap. And as of right now, I lean towards accepting his word.

Regarding Google Earth: it's free and a great program. It won't run on a 386 PC or an old Mac. Maybe it will run on a ten year old computer. A word of warning, if you do download it and get it installed, you'll waste so much time looking at all kinds of stuff.

Vinson did get harassed in his career following the event.

It is common for the government to ignore whistleblowing which further investigation will only help expose.

This particular point conceded.

I didn't find the videos of Vinson very good - not even in telling his own story. If one reads the authorized book, it is clear [according to his own account] that when he was on the flight he was ONLY air force [not CIA]. Later, when the intelligence community found out he was on the flight, they put enormous pressure on him - which he resisted best he could, as long as he could to not join the CIA under Air Force cover - and not go to Area 51. He was saddled with many non-disclosure agreements and not very subtle threats should he talk about the flight. You can believe him or not - it should have been investigated (and still should be!!!) - but it is as believable as anything else I've heard about the events of Dallas. While he didn't 'come out' until after all of the 'investigations', the information about the flight would have existed, had there have been any real investigation.... though we know there never really was...only various forms of cover-up....excepting Garrison.
