The Chicago Plot: A Hypothesis
Albert Doyle Wrote:I think doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.

I'm not sure the people have no legal bearing. We live under a contract called "We The People". It's time to do a margin call on it with the American Government.

I think it's safe to say that even if the Dallas DA entered a case that it would end up with some cheesy decision, like the ones they specialize in, where they came to the conclusion that, yes, there was a conspiracy but nothing could be done about it now. And that isn't good enough.

Bill Kelly: Well, there has never been a Dallas Grand Jury of ordinary citizens review the evidence in either Tippir or JFK murders, take the sworn testimony of witnesses and suspects and determine if there is evidence enough to indict anyone and bring them to trial. That's the way the Constitution says that homicides should be investigated. How can you say that it would be a "cheey decision" when its never been done? It never could have been done with Wade in there, but with Watkins, who believes there was a conspiracy, there's a window of opportunity to see what would happen if the law was practiced as it should be. You're predetermination that it would be "cheesy" and "not good enough" is just your opinion and not based on anything since the proper legal functions have never been carried out.

Nope, the people need to make clear the US Government is no long credible or reliable towards check and balance democracy and the Kennedy case is a prime example.

BK: Well it should be made an example by applying the law to the case and not used as an example by not applying the law because you can't trust the government. We've already said we didn't trust DA Wade and now we got a new DA Watkins, who was not part of the old machine, who is reviewing old cases and changing their verdicts and he should be deemed reliable enough to handle at least a review of the Tippit case.

I think it has to be made clear that government has proven itself unreliable in the processing of the Kennedy Assassination evidence and cannot be allowed to be the authority over it in future cases.

BK: What future cases? We're still trying to get the first Dallas grand jury to ever look into the Tippit case and what happened at Dealey Plaza, and it's still the same case. If JFK and Tippit were properly handled MLK and RFK probably wouldn't have happened, and such "future cases" can be prevented by solving the old ones.

That the people need to intervene on the basis of their Constitutional right and justice needs to finally be done on this matter.

BK: Exactly, and the Constitution says that the evidence in homicides goes to a grand jury, and that's where justice can and must be done, a grand jury of ordinary citizens who review the evidence and make the determination as to whether indictments should be brought.

At the very least we could force them to show that there is no real democracy in this country and the government is actually run by military and right-wing neo-fascist powers under a false democracy. One that is sticking with its killing of president Kennedy.

BK: You can still do that and have a grand jury too. If the JFK case is to be resolved to a legal and moral certainty it must go before a grand jury.

This is long overdue...

And that's the way it works.

It's also the way it doesn't work. Mark Lane won a jury verdict in Miami and nothing followed.

Perhaps someone will begin a dedicated thread for dicussion of the proposed Grand Jury and other legal actions?

I politely ask that we return this thread to discussion of the alleged Chicago "plot" and its larger purpose in the JFK assassination.

I agree, I have previously asked that we return to the Chicago Plot because I think it was developing some interesting information.

I have been calling for a grand jury investigation for over a decade now, and very few people have supported the idea or wanted to talk about it.

As for the Mark Lane - David Attle Phillips Spotlight - trial, that was a civil trial, not a criminal one, and no grand jury was involved, and the only evidence considered concerned whether Philips was libeled, and he wasn't.

On page 86 of Phillip Melanson, The Secret Service: The Hidden History of an Enigmatic Agency:

Kennedy is alleged to have said to San Antonio Congressman Henry Gonzalez the night before the shooting, "The Secret Service told me they had taken care of everything."

We've established a number of things: Johnson said in April Kennedy would attend a luncheon in Dallas.

The testimonial for Al "Wink" Thomas nailed the date: November 21 in Houston; November 22 in Dallas.

The route and crossfire was arranged with a long lead time. The handling of Oswald's file by Angleton was meticulous as was the Phillips manipulation of the Mexico City cables.

The Chicago defused bomb was the excuse for the relaxation of security in Dallas.

The Secret Service destroyed its records for 1963 rather than comply with the JFK Records Act.

The Secret Service in the persons of Blaine and Hill attempt to blame the murdered president for the relaxation of security which made his killing possible.

Has it been proved Kennedy ordered Greer to brake for the head shot.

The more the matter is revisited the more it smells of treason.

Add the obscenity of the Church Lady of the Confusatory spewing the Line like Linda Blair in the Exorcist.

Or was it travesty.

One of the more interesting aspects of the situation in Chicago is the fact that two of those suspects connected to the assassination both worked for the Chicago Transit Authority (not the rock band) as bus drivers.

Homer Echevera and Ralph Meyers both were Chicago bus drivers at one time.

Ralph Meyers was in the Army and worked with the Army Security Agency in Turkey,
at the NSA listening post that was also used as a U2 staging area.

He then left the military and became a Chicago bus driver for awhile before moving to Mexico City to work as a journalist. His mother and father, who owned a Pepsi dealership in New York, visited him in Mexico City shortly before attending the Pepsi convention in Dallas on the weekend of the assassination.

His father and uncle Larry Meyers, met at the Cabana Motel Pepsi party on the night before the assassination (See: Harmonic Convergence at the Cabana Lounge), when Jack Ruby stopped by and joined them.

Jack and Larry Meyers were friends, and had their mutual roots in Chicago as their connection.

Someone suggested that the job with CTA was considered "sheep dipping" after working for military and intl, and before embarking on another mission or operation, so as to be divorced from the previous intelligence assignment.

Penn Jones has suggested that Ralph Meyer was also registered at the Cabana Motel the night before the assassination.

Mary Ferrel says that Ralph Meyers was in Mexico studying the ancient Indian tribes for a book he was working on, but I've never been able to find a book about the Aztecs or Incas by him.

Ralph Meyers is still alive and is one of the dozens of witnesses who should be called to testify before a new grand jury or Congressional hearing.

Bill,

Interesting data. And I agree with your suggestion that Meyers should be called before a JFK Grand Jury.

At this point in the evolution of this thread, have you been moved -- even just a bit -- toward acceptance of the validity of my faux Chicago plot hypothesis?

Your informed opinion would be of great value.

Thanks,

Charles

Geesh, I wonder if the Meyers party got a lift in Mrs Paine's Rambler station wagon to the Cabana? They probably needed a ride over to the Nixon/Crawford Pepsi convention afterwards...

I think he's being heavily sarcastic Bernice. The context is Lone Nutters who claim Kennedy ordered the lax Secret Service security that day and, as Phil lambastes, also claim Kennedy ordered Greer to slow down so his murderers could get a better shot (which makes about as much sense as Kennedy ordering lax security after being recorded as discussing a sniper with Jackie that morning).
