Frank was under investigation for poking his nose into Lee and Jack Ruby's classified documents. I have the CIA/FBI files saying so, here is Frank's conversation with Mike Canfield.
I've got a dropbox account but still can't seem to get to this file. Who was investigating him and when was he caught with his hand in the cookie jar? Any chance you can point to the docs?
Magda Hassan Wrote:Thanks Scott. That works fine. I'll look forward to the documents.
You'll also find everything in my upcoming book due to be released November 22, 2014.
For those having a hard time reading this the first sentence by FBI - Washington D.C. says, "I see by a story in the Houston Post about Frank Sturgis that you are still poking into the Jack Ruby - Lee Harvey Oswald business."
On the night before Ruby killed Oswald there was a party in Houston, hosted by a retired Houston Police Officer. One of the guess was a woman from Dallas and she left in double time back to Dallas when the word reached her that Oswald was to be moved. Her departing statement was. "I've got to go because Jack Ruby is going to kill Oswald".
The Two Oswald talk begins around 5:15 into the session.
Sturgis claims the KGB assassinated JFK. (Whatever else Sturgis may have been,
he remained loyal to the CIA.)

Lots of folks don't know this, but the man standing next to Frank with his army hat and glasses is also in the same Op40 pic sitting in front of Frank looking away from the camera when the photo is taken. That is Gerry Droller aka Frank Bender. Oh, and that training was NOT in Cuba as the film says, but in the everglades of South Florida.
There are a few mistakes in the editing of this film. In the beginning, first off, the training of using a .45 was not in Cuba, and these folks were NOT a bunch of Cubans training on how to use this gun. These were folks who were being trained while working with the CIA not for the CIA other then Bender, he was an employee of the CIA the rest of these folks were assets and were expandable.
Target practice was conducted at the everglades. Frank blames Fidel for Kennedy's assassination as do most of the Cubans in Miami. However, Luis Posada who happens to be Castro's public enemy number one disagrees. Posada personally told me that he doesn't believe Castro was behind Kennedy's assassination or he would have had some hard evidence. Posada had a high level classified clearance with the CIA as an employee, Sturgis was NOT an employee of the CIA like Posada. Sturgis, like my father was an asset, or a CIA contract agent. That's it.
On 6/14/1963 name unknown advised that Rich Albert Lauchli of Collinsville, Illinois recently arrived in Miami, Florida with a station wagon loaded of arms for sale. Jerry Hemming and Frank Sturgis took Lauchli around to meet different Cubans exile leaders in Miami and he subsequently sold some of these weapons to the Second National Front of the Escambray; American mercenary Bill Garman, Ramon, Font of Commandos L, and miscellaneous equipment to other organizations.
In connection with the foregoing, name unknown advised that on 6/10/1963, Rich Lauchli was with Frank Sturgis who took him to the home of Santiago Alvarez, at which time Alvarez purchased some of the guns from Lauchli.
This reference indicated that Santiago Alvarez is one of the leading figures in Commandos L (105-117222) anti--Castro organization. Sturgis then loaded the rest of the equipment in the trunk of a station wagon and headed for Dallas Texas on 11/20/1963.

Any mention of Marita Lorenz? This essentially sounds like her story.
Of the two pages you posted (do you have a clearer version of the second?) the first reads very much like a standard FBI report. But the second doesn't. Are you sure both pages are from the FBI?

This is fascinating stuff... thank you.
My understanding is Enrique Montero heard this through Cubans in Miami, Montero also worked with U.S. Attorney Earl Silbert. Montero single handily turned over the "Secret Police" to the Chilean Government including Micheal Townley.
Montero who heard this news about Pedro Diaz Lanz was through the Cuban community. Marita's story just so happened to be published in a local paper just weeks prior, so the FBI concluded that his story is a spin off of Marita's. Which is not the case, is it coincidental? Could be.
The second page I found at the MFF site. I'm quite certain if you typed in a specific word it will locate that document for you, and you will find it.

Perhaps it is confirmation of Marita's long uncomfirmed story????
I think researchers should take another look at Marita Lorenz. The HSCA discredited her with the "Two Oswald" sarcasm because she put him in the Everglades training camps at the same time he was in Russia. But now we know how many very credible sightings of Oswald, including written evidence, occurred in and around New Orleans at the same time he was in Russia. And you wouldn't expect anyone to confirm her story about Sturgis et al traveling to Dallas just a couple of days before JFK's murder... until we hear this news from you. Thanks again.
