Frank Sturgis on Two Oswalds
#31
I thought Marita's story was already confirmed by a Cuban exile who repeated Marita's claim of the mechanical break down of one of the cars in the caravan near New Orleans independently.

The only reason I know the HSCA did not take Marita's story of value is because at the time the FBI questioned everyone she had implicated they all denied her story. Tell me, were they suppose to admit to it?

Sturgis even denied knowing Hunt until the early 70's, that's not true either, what did the FBI expect? They would all tell the truth?

Hunt vs Liberty Lobby

Mark Lanes cross examination of Marita Lorenz.

The photos my father stole.

The tape my father had of Sturgis admitting to Kennedy's assassination.

Sturgis' conversation with Micheal Canfeild.

Rudy Junco's tape recorded conversation admitting seeing the photos.

Tony Calatayud recorded conversation of Sturgis being on the list of the [possible operation] of the assassination of Kennedy.

Nino Diaz recorded conversation of seeing the photos my father had.

Luis Posada admitting Fidel Castro was not directly involved, and my father's group the Cubanos Unidos was a cloak and dagger group. He goes on to say that Kennedy's assassination was a "big operation".

Enrique Montero admitting he heard from the Cuban community of Pedro Diaz Lanz involvement in Kennedy's assassination, but he does not recall any other names.

Stugis looking into Oswald's and Ruby's files. (Why)?

My mother saw those photos in my father's attache briefcase.

Recorded conversation of police officer Jim Rothinstein admitting Sturgis confessed to Kennedy's assassination.

Any questions?

Sheesh!

Many of us have felt for a long time that there was a direct line of involvement from JFK's assassination to Watergate, and you clearly have some inside information on this, that there are players who took down not one American president but two.

Since I've got limited time this morning, let's cut to the chase on the JFK assassination:

Why on earth would Sturgis/Fiorini confess to involvement in the Kennedy hit??? Was he drunk? Have you heard the tape? What happened to it? Do you think Sturgis knew he was being recorded? Are there any other living witnesses who can confirm the existence of the tape, who actually heard it?

Also, from a bit of Googling, is the name of the cop you interviewed actually "Jim Rothstein" rather than "Rothinstein?" And just as an aside, John Armstrong has often said to me how unlikely it would be for any of Martia Lorenz's contacts to confirm her story. Thanks for all of this ....

I think someone already did. I forget where I saw it but one of the caravan members spoke of a mechanical breakdown near New Orleans in some interview I can't remember.

Q. Why on earth would Sturgis/Fiorini confess to involvement in the Kennedy hit???

A. I don't know, but my father and Frank were good friends, they knew each other for more then 8 years, I knew him as uncle Frank growing up in Miami.

Q. Was he drunk?

A. I wouldn't think so, he didn't sound drunk.

Q. Have you heard the tape?

A. Yes.

Q. Do you think Sturgis knew he was being recorded?

A. I wouldn't think that Sturgis knew he was being recorded, my father had this recording device that had a mic which he had to unscrew part of the phone, the part you spoke into and he would put that part of the device into the phone, the other part of the device was a suction cup he would attach to the receiver or the hearing part of the phone, the tape looked like a regular cassette tape. My father did this often, there were a few times I watched him do it.

Q. Are there any other living witnesses who can confirm the existence of the tape, who actually heard it?

A. Yes, four people that I know of who are still alive, my mother, Rudy Junco, Nino Diaz and myself.

Q. is the name of the cop you interviewed actually "Jim Rothstein"

A. Yes, my apologies for misspelling his name.

How well do you remember it? Can you get close to quoting it verbatim? What did Sturgis say?

So this was a phone conversation between your father and Sturgis, correct? Any chance the recording still exists anywhere?

Wow! Are any or all of these people willing to go on the record somehow? Is any of this included in that book you have coming out? Does it--or will it--appear anywhere else?

This will be hard for many people to accept without all kinds of confirmation, but to me it at least has the ring of truth. I can't think of the number of times John Armstrong and I talked on the phone and he named Sturgis/Fiorini as one of the prime suspects in the hit. This stuff belongs to history, and I hope you are able to make a record of it... and the people who confirm it. Thanks.

Right, according to John Macgregor, but I don't know who he is, do you? When I click on "about" on his website, I get a "404 Not Found" error.

Still, this thread is either on fire or going down in flames, and I thank you for the link. I'll look into this some more.

Q. How well do you remember it? Can you get close to quoting it verbatim? What did Sturgis say?

A. I was thirteen years old, I remember my father waking me up before school asking me to wash my face and sit on the bed, I remember what my father said and the tape he played, how could I ever forget? That was the day my father was killed.

Q. So this was a phone conversation between your father and Sturgis, correct? Any chance the recording still exists anywhere?

A. Yes, my father always had phone conversations, I can only assume that the recording would have been from a phone conversation he had with Frank or at the office my father and Navarro had on Flager where there a girl would type up documents and record conversations. I'm not sure how my father recorded Frank, all I know it was him on the tape.

Q. Are any or all of these people willing to go on the record somehow? Is any of this included in that book you have coming out? Does it--or will it--appear anywhere else?

A. I know for a fact that Rudy, Nino and I would all go on record, I have a recorded conversation with Rudy. Here it is. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2067...%20CIA.MP3 . Everyone but my mother would go on record she is still upset at me for going through her things when she was visiting her sister, this is not something she likes to talk about. My mother never wanted my father information to get out.

Quote:I hope you are able to make a record of it... and the people who confirm it. Thanks.

Everything that I know or have learned about my father including his associates will be published in my up coming book that my mother does not want me to release, but I fell my father's story should be told.

I'll try to read your book when it comes out, Scott.

In the meantime, though, if you possibly could it certainly might be helpful to make recordings, or even better, videos, of these people saying what they remember from the recording your father made of his phone call with Sturgis/Fiorini. If they, like you, remember it as an admission by Sturgis that he was involved in the hit (as a shooter????), this type of witnessing could go a long way in confirming what so many of us already suspect.

I can only hope this would be a safe project for you and the others. Sturgis is gone, and most of the others prime suspects in the case, and the headwinds you would face would be, hopefully, limited to the usual propaganda efforts to protect "sources and methods" or some similar bs.

And speaking of bs, there has been so much of it surrounding the assassination it would be hard for the truth to be recognized if it were delivered from Mount Olympus on dancing stone tablets. But it's still worth the effort, I hope.
