Malcolm Blunt via Bart Kamp, Hosty's notes
#1
This seems to me to be really important. As far as I can see, we now have three sources that say LHO was outside for the motorcade.

Malcolm Blunt discovered what appear to be Hosty's notes from a first day interrogation of LHO.

Are the other sources statements confirming Oswald said he was outside or statements from other witnesses saying they saw him outside watching the parade?

If only the crack DPD or FBI had bothered to ask him "Who else did you see there on the steps?" or had Hosty noted the reply to that question if it was asked.

There is a digitized copy of Darnell available for public viewing in the Reading Room at the Sixth Floor Museum. It cannot be viewed off-site, due to copyright restrictions with NBC Universal.

Somebody should visit- pronto- and bring along a notebook and internet blowup of Darnell, to compare the PrayerMan images.

I nominate Larry Hancock. Even better- Debra Conway.

Somebody will eventually visit after her and be able to evaluate what she reports.

The burden of proof is on the PrayerMan-is-Oswald proponents. Because a height analysis shows that the figure is a full head shorter than Wesley Frazier.

And if you are unhappy with what Debra reports, then you go look at the Darnell scan.

****************************************

My own efforts obtaining access to the NBC Archives this past year were unsuccessful. I contacted, by US mail, RFK Jr, Michael Savage, Representative Walter Jones, Judge John Tunheim, Roger Stone and Ken Burns, to solicit their help in getting my foot in the door, past the red tape.

NBC requires an established project from an accredited organization for access to their newsreel archives. I live 5 hours away and could readily make a digital scan of the original Darnell, were such access granted.

******************************************

I don't see anything substantive in Hosty's notes that you can build a firm argument on- it looks to me like Chinese whispers, happening as soon as what happened at 3:30ish got transcribed by Hosty, Fritz and Bookhout.

Hosty writes: "He went to the 2nd floor to get coca cola to eat with lunch and returned to 1st floor to eat lunch. Then went outside to watch P parade."

Fritz includes the Truly & Baker encounter: "claims 2nd floor coke when off came in..... to 1st floor had lunch.... out with Bill Shelley in front"

We don't know whether Oswald's mention of Bill Shelley, who was outside, made Hosty assume that Oswald "watch P parade". We don't know that Oswald actually said that, and Hosty wasn't near the TSBD when Oswald said he went outside.

In Bookhout's report, once Truly & Baker left, "OSWALD stated that he took this Coke down to the 1st floor and stood around and had lunch in the employee lunch room. He thereafter went outside and stood around for five or ten minutes with foreman BILL SHELLEY."

Each law enforcement officer remembering, and mis-remembering, the exact same sequence slightly differently.

Again, the burden of proof is on the PrayerMan-is-Oswald proponents. Get off your fanny and get a look at the digitized Darnell. You're lost in a world of Cloud CuckooLand conjecture without tangible evidence.

Thanks for sharing this additional source, Mr. DiEugenio, yet another instance to add to the ever growing list placing the wrongly accused outside for the motorcade. My admiration for Mr. Blunt and his exemplary research continues to grow, certainly wish him the very best for a healthy & Happy New Year.

One source placing the wrongly accused outside is one too many. Now, research has produced a Hat-trick number of times placing him outside (where there is smoke there is indeed fire).

The wrongly accused was in the downstairs lunchroom minutes before the presidential limousine appeared (we know this because of his sighting of "Junior" Jarman and his companion Harold Norman as they returned back into the building via the backdoor entrance in route to view the procession from the 5th floor).

We know the Warren Report, via FBI tandem Hosty and Bookhout's notes also place him downstairs in rear of the building in the lunchroom (WR pages 600 & 613).

We know Mr. Murphy's challenge has held firm for five years now, with no one else securing the specific position of Prayer Man. Several filming intervals (Weigman, the Couch & Darnell overlap, and Darnell solo) have determined that Prayer Man held his specific position through all of their filming sequences.

Toss in this revealing revelation, courtesy of Kent Biffle of the Dallas Morning News ---->

"In a storage room on the first floor, the officer, gun drawn, spotted Oswald. Does this man work here?', the officer reportedly asked Truly. Truly, who said he had interviewed and had hired Oswald a couple of months earlier reportedly told the policeman that Oswald was a worker." --Kent Biffle

To further buttress Mr. Biffle's account, here's yet another instance where the wrongly accused was down on the first floor (nowhere near the 2nd, let alone the 6th) near the storage room cited by Mr. Biffle ----> Occhus Campbell, the Vice President of the TSBD, was quoted by the New York Herald Tribune on 23/11/63 as stating: "Shortly after the shooting we raced back into the building. We saw Oswald in a small storage room on the ground [first] floor." <----Credit the exemplary research of Hasan Yusuf for that gem.

We know Mr. Campbell's use of "We" signals himself and those with him.

In spite of the five decades old myth we have been spoon fed (amazing what some people will say/do for thirty pieces of silver), the actual movements of the wrongly accused reflect a brief encounter with Jarman & Norman in the rear of the building downstairs on the first floor. He then walks the length of the floor, pushes open the front entrance glass doors, steps outside into the crisp Fall air; settles in the only position not accountable for in Commission Exhibit 1381 ; watches the chaos unfold; enters the small storage room to gather his thoughts; Truly initially vouches for him here; and, Mr. Campbell's party also sees him here in this same location. What transpires next is the framing of an innocent party. The wrongly accused did not shoot anybody. Anybody.

Is there any eyewitness testimony, under oath, that places LeeHarveyOswald "outside for the motorcade"?

It would appear to me to be safe to conclude that the SecondFloorLunchRoomEncounter indicates that LeeHarveyOswald was not
"outside for the motorcade"!

My internet was down for about 5 weeks, and just came back a couple of days ago.

I will repeat: Somebody needs to get off their fanny and have a look at the Sixth Floor Museum's digital scan of Darnell. And report on the comparison of quality vs. an internet blowup of the Darnell TSBD doorway.

Otherwise, the PrayerMan claim is a bunch of baloney.

Do you really think the Sixth Floor Museum would allow a publicly available Darnell digital scan if it showed Oswald on the landing?

This embarrassing episode will be over, by the latest, this November, when lots of people will get a look at the digital Darnell scan of a woman clerk.
